This JPO website is hosted on SourceForge who use cookies and other technologies to track visitors to their site. Their Privacy Statement is found here
The JPO website links in a Google Analytics module. This gives the author website analytics. Google describe what they do and track on their Compliance site: link
The data collected by SourceForge and Google is used in aggregate form by the author to observe interest in the JPO project and where geographically it is coming from. The breakdown by OS and browser is also interesting.
The JPO application doesn't leak user data anywhere. It doesn't even track how often it is started and doesn't have crash reports or anything like that.
JPO and it's author do not collect or share your personal data. Unless you write to him. In which case he will file your email correspondence like any other.
